I'm starting a series of hands. I'm trying to capture mood and movement while not sacrificing my aesthetic. This piece is called Strata. We are layers both figuratively and literally.
This piece is very important to me and I used all of my favorite colors. It is approximately 8 inches long. The veins in the eye are hand painted with low-fire glass paint. Many of the details are copper foil overlay.
